Woke up feeling a lot better and killed time on the internet while I was connected. Double checked some upcoming camping sites and things like that. Had a short drive planned so there was no hurry to get going. Got on the road about 10:30am and went back to Wind Cave with a planned stop to take some photos in the town of Hot Springs a picturesque old resort town. Drove back through Wind Cave and then made my way to my next campsite. On the way there passed by the Sitting Bull monument. Didn’t look worth stopping and paying for but still pretty impressive. Found my campsite up off a dirt road in the national forest. Someone was target shooting on the other side of the ridge but that was the only other sound of humans in the area. Spent most of the afternoon rearranging the truck. Just when I was about to fix some dinner it started raining and sleeting. It finally stopped as the sun was going down and another bright rainbow popped up overhead. Took a bunch of photos of it ate, some crackers and went to bed. Actually ended up having the best night of sleep so far this trip.
